Our guest speaker this month is Tina Vadaneaux, the CEO and founder of Continuo Foundation, a charity which funds and supports musicians and ensembles engaged in the performance of European Music from the Medieval, Renaissance and early Baroque periods for the purpose of reaching a broader more diverse community. This includes Continuoconnect.com, a curated digital platform dedicated to opening up the world of Early Music to a global audience. Continuo has support from patrons which include world renowned sopranos Mary Bevan MBE and Dame Emma Kirkby DBE, conductor Sir Roger Norrington CBE and Baroque violinist Rachel Podger. Tina was educated in the US and forged a career in Corporate Finance on Wall Street before moving to London in 1992. Prior to Covid, Tina was active in audience engagement for The Mozartists, a period instrument orchestra and opera company and concurrently served as the Classical Music and Opera Activity Leader for KCWC. Following Tina’s address, Londinium Consort, a talented young ensemble, will perform pieces from their debut album, Crossing Paths. Their debut CD should be available by 20 November.
