Discovering Shakespeare is a short, accessible adult-education course exploring how Shakespeare transformed the stage and shaped the language we still use today. Through filmed scenes, discussion, and guided insights, you'll discover his life, times, and greatest works in an enjoyable and approachable way.
Led by Dr Sarah James, former Head of English at the University of Kent, this welcoming course is ideal for beginners and those returning to Shakespeare. No prior experience is needed. Open to all, in partnership with KCWC, with a follow-on course planned for autumn.
Lectures will take place on the following Tuesdays:
May: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th and June 2nd
The Cost for the 5-week course is £120. Since this is a unique joint venture between KCWC and Imperial College, there is a two part ticketing process:
Step #1: Please use the normal KCWC ticket purchase process in the "Tickets" section below (there is no additional charge, but we need you registered for tracking and communication purposes)
Step #2: Please make your payment directly to Imperial College using the following link (Note: purchase an "Associate" ticket to get the KCWC price.)
