Oscar winner Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln are starring in this thrilling dissection of desire, loss and rebirth written by Henrik Ibsen.
Ellida lives with her husband and stepdaughters in a remote coastal town, where the sea seems to echo with the life she left behind. Once bound by a passionate promise to a mysterious sailor, she now finds herself stifled by domestic routine. When the man from her past returns, Ellida must confront the pull between the freedom of desire and the safety of the life she chose.
Simon Stone’s adaptation brings Ibsen’s psychological drama into the present, exposing the quiet devastations of compromise and the seductive danger of unfinished stories.
Before the event will be a Pre-theatre dinner at everyone’s own tab. Details and Venue will be announced closer to the event. Please indicate your interest by signing up below.

Described by the Sunday Times as 'a fascinating revelation of an adventurous and protean spirit’, this biography is the inspiration behind the 2024 film Lee, starring Kate Winslet as Lee Miller. Beautiful, bewitching and an exceptionally good photographer, Lee Miller was one of life’s adventurers. She became a Vogue cover girl in 1920s New York before embracing Paris, photography and Surrealism, and then dramatically changed her life yet again, reinventing herself as a war correspondent, notably covering the liberation of Dachau. These are but three of the many lives of Lee Miller, intimately recorded here by her son, Antony Penrose. Featuring a selection of Miller’s finest work, including portraits of her friends Picasso, Tanning and Ernst, Penrose’s tribute to his mother brings to life a uniquely talented woman and the turbulent times in which she lived.

Arundhati Roy’s first work of memoir, this is a soaring account, both intimate and inspiring, of how the author became the person and the writer she is, shaped by circumstance, but above all by her relationship to her extraordinary, singular mother Mary, who she describes as ‘my shelter and my storm’.
Distraught and even a “little ashamed” at the intensity of her response to the death of the mother she ran from at age eighteen, Arundhati began to write Mother Mary Comes to Me. The result is this astonishing, disconcerting, surprisingly funny chronicle—unique and simultaneously universal, of the author’s life, from childhood to the present, from Kerala to Delhi.
With the scale, sweep, and depth of her novels and the passion, political clarity, and warmth of her essays, Mother Mary Comes to Me is an ode to freedom, a tribute to thorny love and savage grace—a memoir like no other.

June, 1940. German troops enter Paris and hoist the swastika over the Arc de Triomphe. The dark days of Occupation begin. How would you have survived? By collaborating with the Nazis, or risking the lives of you and your loved ones to resist?
The women of Paris faced this dilemma every day – whether choosing between rations and the black market, or travelling on the Metro, where a German soldier had priority for a seat. Between the extremes of defiance and collusion was a vast moral grey area which all Parisiennes had to navigate in order to survive.
Anne Sebba has sought out and interviewed scores of women, and brings us their unforgettable testimonies. Her fascinating cast includes both native Parisiennes and temporary residents: American women and Nazi wives; spies, mothers, mistresses, artists, fashion designers and aristocrats. The result is an enthralling account of life during the Second World War and in the years of recovery and recrimination that followed the Liberation of Paris in 1944. It is a story of fear, deprivation and secrets – and, as ever in the French capital, glamour and determination.
Respected, self-made businessman Joe (Bryan Cranston) prides himself on providing for his wife and their two sons.
While wartime delivers profits for the family, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action.
Peacetime brings little peace of mind as Joe’s true involvement in the activity begins to surface, and he is suddenly confronted by the consequences of his actions.
Visionary director Ivo Van Hove (A View from the Bridge, A Little Life) reunites with Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Network) in this Arthur Miller classic that skewers the dishonest promise of the American Dream in this disturbingly prescient play.
Please join for a Pre-Theatre Dinner at your own tab. Details will be announced closer to the event. Please indicate your interest by signing up.
When Jim overhears that he is about to be sold to a man in New Orleans, separated from his wife and daughter forever, he runs away until he can formulate a plan. Meanwhile, Huck has faked his own death to escape his violent father. As all readers of American literature know, thus begins the dangerous and transcendent journey by raft down the Mississippi River toward the elusive and unreliable promise of the Free States and beyond.
Brimming with nuanced humor and lacerating observations that have made Everett a literary icon, this brilliant and tender novel radically illuminates Jim's agency, intelligence, and compassion as never before. James is destined to be a major publishing event and a cornerstone of twenty-first-century American literature.
