The Cultural Value of a World-Class Education: Networks, Identity and Social Capital in a Global Age
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO PARTNERS AND FRIENDS!
This session will examine how world-class institutions continue to deliver value far beyond academic achievement, shaping identity, confidence, global mobility and the networks that underpin long-term opportunity. Against a backdrop of rising competition for UK university places and growing international demand, increasing numbers of UK students are broadening their horizons and applying across the UK, the US and Europe, while gravitating towards broader, more interdisciplinary degrees aligned with the careers of the future.
The discussion will assess what these shifts mean for young people coming of age in an increasingly competitive and global education landscape, how traditional strengths such as academic rigour and prestige now sit alongside newer forms of value, and why thoughtful preparation and expert guidance matter more than ever.
The session will be led by Chloe Godsell from Crimson Education, a global university admissions consultancy working with students and families across the UK, Europe and internationally, supporting applications to Oxbridge, the Ivy League and other leading universities worldwide.
Refreshments included. This event is open to partners and guests.
