Mindfulness Painting is bringing our awareness into the present moment by consciously focusing on colour and design - instead of focusing on your breath, you will focus on the paintbrush, shade of colours, and feelings you are experiencing.
Your attention will focus on curiosity, openness and acceptance of what's happening in the present moment. This is similar to meditation as we let go of any thoughts from the past or future and bring focus to the present activity. The University of the West of England has researched this and concluded that painting reduces anxiety more than reading does.
You will choose a ceramic for 2 hours of painting with friends and socialising over drinks and snacks on your own bill.
