Our tailored British Museum tour this November is an invitation to cross oceans and roam the seas.

Lead by  expert guide Muriel Carré, we will be  looking at objects that reveal incredible sea-faring stories and that will help us understand why men have braved the elements to cross oceans in great voyages of discovery or conquest.

Our humble voyage will start with Odysseus’s long journey home, and we will then travel alongside Vikings, Spanish Conquistadores, traders of the East India Company, the crew of Captain James Cook, Darwin’s Beagle and many more seafarers and adventurers. Welcome aboard!

Note: We will be meeting at 2pm sharp at the Group entrance at the back of the British Museum (Montague Place entrance) for a 2.15pm start time.  This entrance has a dedicated reception.
