The Exhibition A leading figure of British Pop Art, Allen Jones has spent over six decades challenging perceptions of the human figure, sexuality and the boundaries between art, fashion and spectacle. His striking imagery continues to fascinate, unsettle and provoke debate.
In Town Tonight brings together a substantial body of new work alongside significant works from across his career.
Jones's work is held in major museum collections, including Tate, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The Conversation What makes art provocative? How have shifting social attitudes changed what we consider provocative? And who decides where the boundaries lie?
Join Paul Luckraft, Head of Programme at Gazelli Art House, to explore the ideas behind Jones's work and consider how our own perspectives shape the way we see it.
Art that Challenges - Images that Provoke Beyond the image lies a conversation about art, society and the boundaries of provocation.
